After outlaw Blackjack Britton and his gang hold up a bank, they escape through a dust storm and wind up in the sleepy town of Refuge. Finding its inhabitants and sheriff unusually passive and genteel, Blackjack and his bunch begin to take advantage, causing all manner of trouble. The gang can't fathom the town's lack of fight until they learn that Refuge is actually a purgatory for famous dead gunfighters who must resist the violence that marked their lives.

This movie is "Tombstone" meets "Constantine" and is one of my all time favorite western movies and it's sad how little attention it got. I hope you all enjoy this trailer and see the movie!!
One out of every 3 cowboys were black.
Cowboys was the racist term used by White Supremacists, for the grown black men tending the herds. They referred to all black men back then, no matter their age, as boy. If you were black and tended the herd, you were a cowboy. Their White counterparts who road horses, were called drovers. As they literally drove the direction of the herds. Racist Hollywood didn't think the name Drover Pictures would sell enough movie tickets. So they rewrote and stole even more history from black people. Excluded people of color, outside of being servants, escaped prisoners ect.. And thus Cowboy Pictures were born. Every ethnicity was represented in The West, the discovery of gold promised prosperity and new life to anyone that possessed it.
Buffalo soldiers were African American soldiers, who mainly served on the Western frontier following the American Civil War. In 1866. Six all-Black cavalry and infantry regiments were created, after Congress passed the Army Organization Act.
The Civil War was fought over money and land. The South had free and untaxed labor through slavery. While the North had to pay and insure employees. The expansion toward California, along with the gold they would get. Was something neither side was willing to share.
Due to the creation of Mafia Movies, which introduced the machine gun. The long popularity of Westerns was beginning to slide. In order to stay the top genre, the mythical 'Fanning' of a handgun was invented. This Hollywood, fast cocking and recocking of the hammer. Gave Cowboys the mythical
shooting speed, to match their deadly counterparts. It was a temporary reprieve, so the genre was mostly abandoned in America. In Italy and other European Countries, Westerns were perhaps bigger than ever. So their directors hired American Stars of Westerns, to play in their movies. In another racist campaign, Hollywood dubbed the movies, 'Spaghetti Westerns'. As racist and bigot whites, referred to people of Italian Descent, as 'spaghetti-benders.'
Many of these great films, like Once Upon A Time In The West. Were far superior, to their earlier American Counterparts.
